Job Duties

• Reconcile accounts
• Post journal entries
• Calculate fixed assets and depreciation
• Maintain general ledgers and financial statements
• Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll
• Prepare other statistical, financial, and accounting reports
• Keep financial records and establish, maintain, and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
• Report to the Director for review and final approval on a regular basis

Qualification

• A Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce is required;

• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Able to multi-task, prioritize, work under pressure, and meet deadlines
• Excellent data entry skills
• Familiarity with a wide range of financial transactions including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Knowledge of a full range of bookkeeping practices
• Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
• Working knowledge of relevant computer applications
