Home Child Care Provider

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Home Child Care Provider to care for our 5-year-old child. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for working with children and be committed to creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment. This role involves supporting the child’s physical, emotional, and developmental needs through attentive care and engaging activities.

Salary: $19 per hour

Terms of Employment: Permanent, full-time

Working Hours: 30-35 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Start Date: As soon as possible

Education: Completion of secondary school

Experience:

Child care or household management experience is required. A valid driver’s license is preferred.

Language: English, Mandarin preferred 

Work Authorization: Applicants must be eligible to work legally in Canada.

Work Setting:

• Employer’s home

• Non-smoking environment; scent free

Job Duties:

• Supervise and care for child in employer’s residence

• Plan and prepare nutritious meals and snacks for the child

• Accompany the child to school, appointments or outdoor activities as needed

• Organize activities such as games, crafts, and outings to provide amusement and exercise

• Instruct child in personal hygiene and social development

• Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home

• Support the child’s emotional and social development.

• Light housekeeping related to the child (e.g., tidying toys, laundry)

• Oversee the child’s activities, as instructed by the employer

• Communicate regularly with parents. Keep records of health information regarding the child.
