Fresh On Food is a grocery delivery service and logistics company helping to bring fresh food to customers throughout the Metro Vancouver region efficiently and with maximum convenience in mind. From our facility to our customers’ homes, the care we take at each step to deliver quality products and exceptional service is what drives our company. We are seeking an experienced and organized E-Commerce Developer with diversified IT skills and a strong background in E-Commerce website development immediately.

The main responsibilities will include:

· Develop and maintain E-Commerce platform includes website, database, inventory system

· Build and expand features to meet business requirements on top of the underlying framework

· Follow best practices to write a clean, maintainable, scalable and tested application

· Work collaboratively with Product Manager to design solutions and provide progress reporting

· Integrate E-Commerce platform with third-party vendors

· Data processing using SQL, MS Access or Excel

· Contribute ideas for innovation and continual improvement for the user experience

· Ensure existing website development is implemented with SEO best practices in mind

· Ensuring cross-browser, cross-platform, and/or cross-device compatibility for inconsistencies

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

· Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, computer technology with minimum of 5 years’ experience

· A portfolio of past work to showcase your abilities

· Solid knowledge of LAMP technologies –Linux, Apache, MYSQL, PHP, PHP framework

· Solid knowledge of JavaScript, HTML5, XML, CSS3, Ajax

· Experience with designing responsive layouts and other CSS3 advanced features such as animations, transitions, flex-box, etc.

· E-Commerce development experience is required

· Through knowledge in SQL, Store Procedures and security related technique such as SQL injection

· Through knowledge in web application security

· Solid MS Excel skills to process complicated data work

· Experience using best practice version control methodologies preferably Github

· PCI experience or knowledge is an asset

· Amazon AWS experience is an asset

· Strong oral and written communications skills

· Strong time management, organizational and multi-tasting skills.

· Self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills with can-do attitude

· Ability to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
