Maple Leaf Education North America is seeking an enthusiastic and energetic School Secretary to join the team at our school in Richmond, BC. Maple Leaf School – KPU is the second school in the China Maple Leaf group to open outside of China and is located on the Richmond campus of Kwantlen Polytechnic University (“KPU”).

The Maple Leaf University School model offers the best of two worlds—a high school located on a university campus. Students experience the support and community of our small high school classes and a unique high school identity along with the independence and advanced academic opportunities available through learning on a university campus.

The university provides a safe and academically stimulating environment, offering options for accelerated courses and dual credits in a rich and supportive learning environment. Our location models the post-secondary experience for our students and prepares them for their further post-secondary studies.

Our students live in local private home-stays throughout the community. The Student Life/Academic Advisor reports to the school principal and will support students in their transition to Canada and to the school; will supervise the students in daily self-study periods; engage students in activities; and provide academic advising on university choices and application processes.

Location: KPU Richmond Campus, BC

Start date: August 15 2019

Compensation Package: Competitive

Requirements: university degree in education or social services or similar discipline, experience with high school student supervision, familiar with North American post-secondary university admissions processes, fluently bilingual English and Mandarin. Must be Canadian citizen or Permanent Resident or hold valid work permit under PGWPP. Special consideration will be given to alumni of Maple Leaf Global Schools.
