Sushi Cook

Japanese Restaurant "Sushimoto (Sushimoto Enterprises)" at 2201 Holdom Ave, Burnaby, BC is looking for one experienced Sushi Cook.

• Position: Japanese Sushi Cook
• Job Type: Permanent, Full-time
• Wage: $ 16 ~ $ 18 per hour (depends on experience)
• Work Hours: 8 hours per day / 40 hours per week
• Benefit: 10 days paid vacation per year
• Location: # 102-2201 Holdom Ave, Burnaby, BC V5B 0A2
• Positions Available: 2

 Job Duties:

• Prepare and cook Japanese food on the menu of the restaurant
• Prepare and cook Japanese meals even ordered by customers
• Make sushi, sashimi, and roll sushi, etc
• Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
• Order supplies and equipment
• Inspect kitchens and food services areas
• Clean kitchen and work area
• Create and develop new menu and special dishes

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in sushi restaurant or completion of college or other program in cooking is required
• Complete of high school is required
• Working in a high-volume kitchen and a passion for Japanese and Asian culinary art and flavors
• Must be available to work lunch, dinner and split shifts, and be able to work weekends and fixed holidays
